The Department of Institutional Development (DID) is responsible for carrying out the following tasks:

1- Participate in setting a concept for the Qatar National Vision and the National Development Strategy (NDS) for improving the performance of government agencies
2- Conduct studies on government agencies' performance and progress through different stages for the purpose of implementing the NDS
3- Propose economic activities and areas pursued by the private sector

4- Provide the necessary support to government agencies regarding the formulation of their strategic plans

5- Utilise the results of statistical analysis in departmental activities

6- Provide the necessary support to government agencies to build capacity in the areas of planning and institutional development.
