Purpose

 The Project is intended to form the initial framework of a more comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy. The Project outlines some of the issues related to the awareness, involvement, and commitment of stakeholders from government, the private & mixed sectors, and civil society in the process of implementing the QNV2030.

1- Stakeholders segmentation and Prioritization

- Based QNV 2030 main pillars and sub-pillars the segmentation and categorization have completed

- Ministries and government agencies, private sector, and civil society organizations have assigned to Executive groups and Task Team.

 

2- Understand the reasons for stakeholders engagement

- Face-to-face interviews with government, private sector, and civil society organization had been completed. Stakeholders participation and involvement in implementing QNV2030 and the preparation of the National Development Strategy was a main agenda item.

- Focal points have been nominated.

 

3- Plan the engagement process

- An initial stake holders framework has been prepared showing each stakeholders group activities, expected participation, and channel of communication

 

4-Start the Dialogue

- Focal points workshop is planned to take place befor the end of 2009 with more emphasis on focal points roles and responsibilities.

- Interaction and communication with stakeholders are going on through letters and GSDP Web Site.

 

5- Maintain the Dialogue and deliver Commitment.

- A letter of Executive groups heads nomination will be prepared and sent to the steering committee.

- A monitoring and Evaluation System is under preparation to be applied after working groups start their tasks.

 

6- Forward a request to private sector and civil society organizations to nominate their focal points
