Welcome to Institutional Development Department

The Institutional Development Department (IDD) contributes to the conceptualization of the vision and the subsequent strategic plan aimed at improving government agencies’ performance. IDD, in tandem, collaborates with ministries and governmental agencies on developing their human resource plans and institutional capabilities.

Furthermore, IDD is responsible for developing a refined understanding of how to improve institutional performance throughout the different stages of the National Development Strategy implementation phase. It accomplishes this function by working with other departments and units within GSDP, as well as with ministries and agencies, to conduct in-depth studies about this issue.

In addition, IDD follows up on the implementation of the national strategy, while helping ministries and agencies improve their performance during this phase. Moreover, it is within its remit for IDD to identify and put forward potential economic areas of interest to the private sector.
